Be Rich: Operation Christmas Child Update
As we celebrate all that God has done through Be Rich this year, I wanted to make sure you received an update on our Operation Christmas Child shoebox collection. Each year we ask families to fill shoeboxes with gifts and toys to send to children in need all over the world. I love that we ask children in our church to give to children their same ages. What an opportunity to teach our children about generosity! Last year, all of our campuses packed over 8,700 shoeboxes. Our goal was to beat that number this year. And because of your generosity, we did. This year, we collected 10,331 shoeboxes and 1,800 of those came from Buckhead Church.
Thank you to every family that grabbed a shoebox, took their kids to the store, collected items to bring to the packing party in Transit, and made it a priority to have a family night using the KidStuf Takeout. While it can be difficult to keep kids focused on what this season is REALLY is all about, your generosity proves that many of you are helping your kids understand that because God gave his Son to us, we are to give generously to those in need. Way to go Buckhead families! Looking forward to what God has in store in 2012.

Baptism: A Bold Step Of Obedience
Bill Nabors is known and loved around Buckhead Church as an incredible man of faith with an effortless ability to make others laugh. He’s been a part of our church for several years and has been involved in many different environments. This past October, he took the bold step of obedience to be baptized. Despite having a physical disability, Bill fearlessly conquered the video and touched the hearts of many who heard his story.

His baptism is a great testimony to how we are called to walk in obedience to Christ through baptism and to not let anything hold us back from publicly proclaiming Jesus as our Savior.
Thanks, Bill, for being an inspiration to us.

Teaching Kids About Generosity
Can you believe it’s already November? This month we’re talking about generosity—giving what you’ve got, cause you’ve got a lot! In KidStuf, we’ll look at the story of a woman who willingly gave what little she had and the AMAZING miracle she witnessed as a result.
To help your kids practice generosity, we’re challenging families to help us fill thousands of Operation Christmas Child (OCC) shoeboxes to give Christmas gifts to children who would not otherwise have them. You can read more about this amazing organization here.
For the Take-Out this month, we’ve created an entire family night centered around filling your OCC shoebox. You will definitely want to get in on the fun. Remember, if you missed KidStuf Live this past Sunday, you can still catch a special encore performance on Friday, November 11, at 7:30 p.m. Head to www.kidstuf.com to watch the entire show from the comfort of your home. You can even wear your pj’s—no one will ever know!
