I have never looked at this passage the way that you lay it out here. Thank you for that. I have thought more this year than ever before about the soldiers and people mocking, spitting and laughing at Jesus. I can't say that I would have stayed on that cross or even made it that far. To think that in a moments time He could have summoned all of heaven but chose not to, makes the events of good Friday all the more miraculous for me. Great post, Mike!
