UpStreet: The Ultimate Challenge!
It’s summer on UpStreet! Our elementary-age kids have embarked on The Ultimate Challenge between the red team and the blue team. Each grade is on a team (see the list below), and the teams compete against each other weekly during our large group time.

In addition, the teams are competing to see who can raise the most money to build homes in Haiti (coins are best – the goal is for your team’s bucket to weight the most!).

It’s been so much fun to see the kids decked out in their team colors on Sunday mornings and, as always, many thanks to our INCREDIBLE volunteers who are making it happen!

We are learning all about TWO Big Ideas this summer: faith and forgiveness. Each day ends with a challenge that we want the kids to take home with them. Here are a few of our challenges so far:
Decide what YOU believe about Jesus.
Trust God to lead you.
Trust God no matter what.
We pray that the kids apply these powerful truths to their young lives, as they sit in circles with small group leaders who teach them what it means to walk with Jesus as an elementary-age kid.
(As a side note, UpStreet kicks off for the fall in August, and we still need a few more small group leaders! We think UpStreet is the most fun place to be on Sunday mornings, and if you’d like to hear more how you can be a part of it, please email me at jill.roberts@buckheadchurch.org.)

My daughter was so excited to particapate (and compete) that she went to the bank to exchange her share money for nickels so her bucket would be lower.
PS I did have to convince her to leave the nickels rolled so they would be easier to count
