I saw your email a few days ago, Jeff, and I know I’m being prompted. I’ve only fasted for a couple of days in the past, but prayer needs are so great right now, this is a necessity.
Will use the suggested juice meal plan from the Campus Crusade link. Giving up my coffee and occasional wine. Will certainly be checking back regularly to see your posts. Thanks for doing this. Glenn
All I can simply say is “Thank you Jeff”. I have prayed today based on what you shared and look forward to seeing God at work over the next 21 days. I love our Nights of Worship and wish we had more…looking forward however to a wondeful culmination of this journey on 1.21.10.
My health keeps me from “fasting” in the fullest sense, but I’m fully aware of the benefit of devoting myself to a modified version~~with a specific intention in mind. I look forward to sharing this time with you all. Thanks for your constant inspiration Jeff! For the last few years you have had a profound effect on my spiritual journey.

Yes, we are in with the body to intercede for the 300,000 in Buckhead.May the LORD draw Buckhead to himself this year!!!
As for us, the one thing that has burdened us for three years is my mom’s salvation. She is 81 years; cheated death 2 years ago and is on “borrowed time” through His grace and mercy. We have never fasted for her and pray GOD will break her stronghold of false gods this year.
Dee Dee – wow. thank you for the encouragement! I’m grateful you’re going to join us even though your health prevents you from the full fast. It’s your heart that counts the most during a fast and God will honor that.
I am nursing a 4 month old, so I can’t abstain from foods, but I am going to fast from my “liquid survival”–caffeine. I am also going to cut out desserts and sweets. I am going to look to God my Father for energy and sustenance during this time. I feel very bonded with our church family to do this with you all!
It will be tough at first but you’re right, our Heavenly Father will meet us when we are weak. We’ll talk more about that on the blog in a couple of days.

Allison — “liquid survival.” I like that phrase.
