2009 has been an incredible year on UpStreet. While the adults were in “big church,” our kids (K-5th grade) were sitting around rugs in their small groups, finding out what it means to make wise choices, to treat others the way they want to be treated, and learning to trust God no matter what.

Though we know it’s not about the numbers, here are a few that we think are worth sharing…

Number of volunteers it takes to pull off UpStreet each Sunday: 170

Average Sunday UpStreet attendance for 2009: 500

Number of small groups that meet every Sunday morning: 90

Amount of coffee we brew for our volunteers each Sunday: 12 gallons

Thank you, UpStreet volunteers! We are so grateful for each one of you and the talent and gifts you bring to the table to lead our kids into a growing relationship with Jesus.

If you were at the December 20 service, you saw the candles lit up across the auditorium. God has definitely been at work in UpStreet, too! Check out this 2009 highlight video to see how many kids’ lights are shining because of your impact.

First, it was an AMAZING 2009! It was truly inspirational seeing the kids, small group leaders, volunteers and staff growing together over the course of the year. Thank you UpStreet staff, for creating environments where volunteers can truly engage and make an impact! Looking forward to making more memories in 2010 – to “living it out” in 2010 as we work together to guide children to put their faith in Jesus and to teach them who God is and how He wants them to live.
