5 Ways to Impress Your Spouse

Ok, so maybe that title was an oversell…but maybe not!  Today, we have 5 ideas for ways to love your spouse, and you might just impress them a little, too.  Check it out.

  1. For an entire month, do one day-to-day task you know your spouse doesn’t enjoy .  For example, you know your wife hates emptying the dishwasher.  Beat her to it every time for the next month.
  2. Read The Five Love Languages.  Find out which of these suits your spouse, then spend the next seven days focusing your love around their primary Love Language.
  3. Write your spouse a heartfelt letter recounting your first date and what you thought about him/her when you first met.
  4. Become a student of your spouse.  Can you name your spouse’s favorite meal, movie, color, scent, and song? Spend a little time finding the answers to these questions, then plan a night that includes each of these favorites.
  5. And finally, number five, and this is a big one…check out GREAT DATE #6. Great Date #6 is focused around the MarriedLife essential Finish Together…because when your future becomes your past, we want it to be filled with awesome memories! Download this new date  at www.marriedlifeonline.com/greatdate. And don’t forget, all the previous dates are still available there as well! Book the babysitter, and surprise your spouse with a night out.

Do you have an idea we should add to this list?  Comment here and let us know the special ways you love your spouse every day!

Will celebrate 38 years of marriage on 9/11/09. My 3 tips: Respect and show each other dignity. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Always remember to have fun. Also and probably the biggest – keep Christ in the middle and thank God for each other and pray for each other daily.

@megransome Hey Meg. It was a song called "Never Once" by Matt Redman. Should be available on iTunes!
