Hopefully, you’ve heard us say this before: “Our mission at Buckhead Church and North Point Ministries is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. We do this by creating environments where people are encouraged and equipped to pursue three vital relationships—intimacy with God, community with insiders, and influence with outsiders.”
For a while now, we have been praying and talking about how we could create an online environment that would achieve this mission. Specifically, we have asked this question: “Can we create an opportunity for those who attend our three campuses in Atlanta to invite their out-of-town friends who don’t know Christ to church every Sunday?” Obviously, those friends can’t fly or drive to Atlanta every Sunday, but they could attend church online.
Thanks to our friends at LifeChurch.tv, NewSpring Church, and others, we have been learning, praying, and working toward creating our own online church experience.
Beginning August 16, we will launch North Point Online. NPO will offer a live webcast of the 6 p.m. service at Buckhead Church, including worship, Andy’s teaching, opportunities to build connection, and an online community. There is still a lot to do, but I wanted to let you know that this is on the horizon.
Also, I have asked my buddy Carlos Whittaker to transition from his role in Service Programming to the North Point Online team. He will help us develop a viral promotional plan that will build momentum for NPO between now and then.
So, as you can tell, there’s a lot going on. The question I have for you today is: Would you be willing to partner with us to reach an unchurched friend through North Point Online? If so, please comment and tell us the town where your friend lives. It would be interesting to know and we can start praying for both of you.

Only three days ago a friend of mine and I have a conversation about another college friend who didn’t know Christ. We felt there was little we could do other than prayer with 2000 miles separating us. Now we have an answer. An invite will go out to Seattle, please pray for TW and his family.
My parents live in a small town called Paris, Ontario, Canada. They’ve been to North Point and love to hear Andy. They’ve used his DVD’s in Bible studies in Canada also. The town and area where they live is a community of people who are not regular church attenders. It would be amazing to see a the Holy Spirit move in that community via this online community.
this is AWESOME!!!!! it sounds like it could bring the full BC experience together – the music, andy’s awesomeness, AND a community or plug-in of sorts for gettig/keeping people involved – so people can see what I’m raving about!!!
I’ll be Praying and sending the news to a friend in NYC who was one of my biggest Christian influences and is now doubting but is intrigued by my enthusiam for BC! and a friend in Tampa who is so incredible but has been trying to fill his life with everything EXCEPT that relationship we were made to fill with God! Pray with me, and sign me up to help in any way that you need! I’m a quick study! :-p
I’ll connect my small group from Virginia Tech with NP online. I did several NP small group videos with them and they loved it! I know they would eat it up. I couldn’t get some of them to go to church and maybe they could connect with this!

I work for our church full time now, but in my previous job I had a friend who I invited to our church but he lived an hour away. Would love to get him to check it out. Ed and I are feeling called to move to California, and one of our concerns was leaving BC, this is just another sign to us that God is in this move! We can take BC with us and begin to introduce people there to it. Our dream is to plant a strategic partner church there.

This is a great ministry tool to add to the existing environments at BC. My cousin in Tucson, AZ was in town about a month ago an visited. HE said if their was a church like that in Tucson, he might actually go. Now there is!
This is awesome for our Buckhead Church members who have left the ATL for college! I’ll put in my vote for Winston-Salem, NC (Wake Forest!) which has several B’head Church college students there.
