The Week That Was
Almost every week, I ask myself the question: “How did we do as a church over the last seven days in leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus?”
Here are some thoughts about March 16 through March 22:
· “Don’t say don’t. Say help.” John Woodall’s closing message in the series, “The Thin Line” is a “must-listen” for anyone wanting to experience the freedom of the Christian life. It will be available on our website and the podcast on Tuesday.
· Sunday, we baptized 36 people!
· “Family Birthday Celebration,” our environment where we baptize elementary-age children in UpStreet, took place Sunday afternoon. Children share their stories on video and are baptized just like we do in our worship services. You would be amazed hearing these stories. A six-year old girl quoted almost an entire chapter of the book of Psalms!! The whole service was phenomenal. (Plus, I had the incredible privilege of baptizing some of the children and Kim Nungesser, an UpStreet small group leader. I also baptized my own son, Cole. A day I’ll never forget.)
· A team from Buckhead went to Brazil as part of our Global X initiative. It was a very productive trip.

· Planning for three big events took major steps forward this week: Good Friday service; the Global Night of Worship and Do Justice. April is going to be a busy month!
It was a very good week. Stay tuned though. The next six weeks could be one of the greatest seasons in the life of our church.
