This past Saturday, 300 Kindergarten through 5th grade kids invaded our building to participate in KidVenture: Game On! KidVenture is an event created to allow leaders to connect with the kids in their UpStreet small group outside of Sunday morning. On Saturday, groups competed for the chance to represent their grade in the grand finale round held in the KidStuf theater. Third grade took the winning spot but the fifth graders walked away with the coveted spirit stick. While we participated in a little friendly competition stronger connections were made between leaders and kids. Special thanks to ALL of our awesome UpStreet volunteers who gave up a Saturday to come hang out with their kids. To get a shot of the action, check this out…

Looks like the kids had so much fun!! My hero is the girl who manages to do “The Macarena” and hoola hoop at the same time.
Does anyone know the name of the song sung after Andy taught on Sunday, March 8, 2009? The words went something like: “When everything falls apart, your love holds me together.” Thanks
