Weekend Recap
This weekend was a huge step forward in our mission of leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Here’s a brief recap:
- Andy’s conclusion of the Balanced series ended with a challenge that could literally unleash a revolution of generosity in our community. And it’s easily doable. (I will share more about this later in the week.)
- Over 1,400 middle school students across our three campuses gathered for Walking Wisely Weekend. As one (very tired) student told me, “They (staff and volunteers) went over the top for us this weekend.”
- Over 60 leaders were trained this Saturday for short-term mission trips with Global X. God is doing great things around the world.
- Jump Start and Baby Dedication went great this afternoon.
- Married Life Live launched the great date experiment Saturday night. http://www.marriedlifeonline.com/greatdate.jsp
- Fusion, one of our environments for single adults, hosted several gatherings around the city tonight. If you’re single, you need to experience Fusion. http://www.buckheadsingles.org/fusion/home.jsp
Thank you Buckhead Church for letting the Lord shine His light through your service, generosity and commitment. 2009 is off to a great start!

Married Life Live was amazing. The music was as usual, over the top. The Phenix’s did a great job reminding us of the 6 major areas we need to work on. I love the idea of the next 6 month’s date nite! I always felt left out not getting a “take out” since we don’t have any little ones in the Kid”s Stuf program. Now we Married’s can have take aways to work on too!
Thanks again for all y’all do!

I just wanted to post a thank you note somewhere on the blog to the GlobalX folks and all those who set up short term mission trips.
Because of the trips you offer, I took a step of faith last summer to Romania and worked in a summer camp with other folks from BC and with the Romanian church partnership in Pitesti. Well, I guess I did something right because they invited me to come back for a ski camp they do next week. I am flying out today to meet again with my new Romanian friends and counterparts to go to the Straja ski area with them and do what I can for them, their participants, and hopefully bring God some glory.
Thanks again Buckhead Church, and am just trusting Him again as we all should at all times.
