“Together we get smart.”
Monica Little, of Little and Company, a branding firm, is a big believer in creative collaboration.
“During the discovery process (of an idea),” she says, “we collaborate with everybody. Internal teams, client teams and end users all help illuminate the situation. Together we get smart.”
I was thinking about this last week and wondered why churches don’t have a systematic, collaborative creative process to help each other. There are a lot of great ideas out there that are rarely shared systematically. What happens is that we look at each other’s websites finding ideas there, which is fine, I guess. But what if we were more proactive and collaborated together on the front end of the ideation process?
I mentioned this to Carlos Whittaker, our Service Programming Director, and he thought it was a great idea. Specifically, we are talking about utilizing the internet to develop a systematic, collaborative process for Easter-which is only three months away. We’re not sure what this looks like right now, but if you’re interested, comment here and we’ll get back to you.
We can’t promise we’ll be able to include everyone because we’re not sure what the process looks like at the present time. But I promise that you will be contacted and informed of what’s happening.
Let us know.
Thanks,
Jeff

I love being a part of anything with the humility an idea like this entails. This is the kind of thing I live for. Count me in.

You completed some fine points there. I did a search on the subject matter and found a good number of folks will have the same opinion with your blog.
