Night of Worship–Live Webcast
One of the many cool things about the Buckhead blog community is that we have readers from a variety of different places around the country and the world. Knowing this, we want to create an opportunity for those of you who don’t live in Atlanta to join us next Thursday night at 7:30 EST for our Night of Worship. We’ll do this by streaming the night live right here on the Buckhead blog. We will also be joined by some of our domestic and global church partners who will be experiencing it on the Internet as well. In a very real sense, the body of Christ will be linked together through technology, worship and prayer. It’s going to be a great night.
If you think you might be able to join us for the Night of Worship webcast, please comment on today’s blog and let us know where you’re from. We’d also love to know if you have any prayer requests. We’ll make sure you get prayed for during the night as well.
As you can tell from the countdown clock over to the side, the Night of Worship is getting closer.
For more details, check out Friday’s blog interview with Carlos Whittaker, our Service Programming Director.

From Michigan. I’d love to join you but am busy tonight with things at my own church. Will be there a way to view it after tonight?
August 7, 2008 at 5:44 am
Great to hear – I’m planning on attending!
August 7, 2008 at 5:45 am
Then again I can see the count down clock now. And I think I’m available next Thursday at that time! I struggle with self-harm if it counts for a prayer request.
August 7, 2008 at 7:18 am
I’ll be in Boston for work…Hopefully will be able to tune in!
August 7, 2008 at 8:38 am
I would like to ask for prayer for the WITH Project for Wiregrass Church. This is our effort to create more space to do church “with” the people of the Wiregrass. God has blessed us in so many ways and the life change has been amazing. We are beginning our fund-raising to build a larger facility to create empty seats so that we can continue to partner with the people of the Wiregrass.
August 7, 2008 at 9:37 am

Please pray for Southside Church in Peachtree City to reach it’s goal of raising $2.85 million for our Everybody Fund. This Fund will enable us to pay off our recent purchase of property and a facility. Our prayer is to reach the estimated 100,000 people within a 15 mile radius of our campus who are unchurched.

Buckhead Church – not only do we admire you and the way you’re serving Christ in Buckhead, but we are honored to be invited to participate in your night of worship. Here in Athens, GA we are also asking God to do incredible things. We’d love to have you join us in a couple of them:
We’re praying for 2010 people in small groups by the end of 2010 and this feels like a HUGE goal for us!
We’re asking God for $50K to expand our family ministries this month. We need this expansion to continue reaching families in this area.
We’re aslo praying for an undefeated football season, but you don’t have to join us in that one if you don’t want too :-)
Proud to be connected to you strategically!
August 7, 2008 at 10:56 am
NorthBridge staff will be joining with you from Pittsburgh! I’d like to ask for prayer for the upcoming fall season. September will mark our one year anniversary. Already we have witnessed great evidence and fruit of God’s hand at work but we really need to grow both in attendence and financially. Please pray as we continue to lead the people God has brought us into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
We trust in His provision!

I just moved back to Des Moines, Iowa after being a part of the NP/Buckhead family in Atlanta and I will definitely be joining my heart with my friends at Buckhead Church! Thanks so much for making this night possible. It is such a blessing to be able to track with you all from the Midwest. Please pray for the church in Des Moines to embrace unity and personally for God to radically hijack my sister and brother-in-law’s marriage. Much love!

I am so blessed by what God does through Buckhead. I lived in Atlanta in 2006 and even was with the Kidstuff production team as a camera guy for three months. I know it’s not politically correct to have favorite churches but Buckhead certainly is. I’m in the State of Washington now but I always check you guys out of the internet. I am looking forward to August 14th. Thanks for making it available.
August 7, 2008 at 9:42 pm

This news just made my day! I was bummed that I wasn’t going to be able to make it, but now I can still watch! I live in Monroe, GA which isn’t that far from Atlanta, but I will be slaving away in my kitchen making bday cakes for my bff’s little girl:) So glad I can still watch while I cook! Thanks for always being so innovative!

This is exciting as I share alot with my best friend in Blowing Rock, NC, who is my closest brother in Christ, about Buckhead Church! I’ll make sure he and his family/friends tune in for the Webcast. I have some prayer requests… for my friend Ron in North Carolina, that God will continue in his healing process, and will Bless him in a special way for him being such an obedient servant, and crusader for Christ. And, for my Mom Jean, and my Step-Dad Dale, that God will fill my Mom with strength and clarity in her life decisions, and that God will heal my Step-Dad of his addiction. And, please pray for my Father Dave, and my brothers Zac, Jon and Jason, for their salvation! Thank you for this forum to share and to ask for prayers for my family. God Bless.

I’m beyond excited to be watching Thursday from Dallas, Texas – well, not quite Dallas as I’m in a tiny suburb called Heartland about 20 min outside Dallas…but that should count too, right? :)
You can pray for our church – The Path Church. We are a plant with 16 families and we shooting for an opening day of 10/12. All hands on deck right now and we’ve got a HUGE few months ahead of us! We’ve only been having bible study so I am soooo looking forward to worshipping with BH even if via the net! I’ve needed worship for a while now and this is perfect timing…ummm, should I say God’s Timing! :)

We will be connected from Seville (Spain)
It is a great idea to create a movement.
Pray for us, because we want to be an irresistible church that influences 1.000.000 of persons of Seville.
August 11, 2008 at 7:53 am
Thanks so much Buckhead Church for your prayers! Thanks also for inspiring us with your HUGE vision!
We would love it if you would pray for Watermarke Church. We are approaching our 3rd anniversary and are heading into the fall with great momentum and energy. Please pray that we would be able to make wise decisions and maintain momentum throughout the leadership transition we are walking through in the next month or so.
Also, please pray that the vision of reaching people who do not know Jesus would grow throughout the Watermarke family.
August 11, 2008 at 8:02 am
Man, it’s so cool to be part of a church that is connected to THE Body of Christ in such a cool way. You guys are definitely being prayed for.
August 11, 2008 at 10:04 am
You can add in the two of us tucked away in a corner in INDIA – if we wake up at 5 AM and if our internet is fast enough to allow video streaming! Will 256 KBPS be enough for the video streaming? Do you have an audio stream?
Do pray for our country – there’s a bit of violence going around, political twists and turns. We’re glad we stay in a country that gives us freedom to worship Jesus Christ and we hope it stays that way – and that every corner of India will experience Jesus!
On the personal front, in about a year we have to make major decisions about our work – waiting for Gods leading. We know that where His Will takes us His grace will sustain us.

Jeff…We’ll be watching from Ontario, Canada. Could you pray that the hearts of those of us at Connexus would break over the things that break the heart of God? We are praying and fasting at both our campuses on August 31st on behalf of our community and those not yet part of the Kingdom. We’re asking for God’s favour as we reach out this fall.
Thanks for your leadership and the servants heart Buckhead shows over and over again!
We’ll be linking the Night of Worship on our blog tomorrow.
August 12, 2008 at 6:11 am
Hi, this is Isma Martinez, from Vilanova, Barcelona, Spain.
Even though it’s going to be 01h30 in the morning in Spain, We’ll be online with you guys on this Night of Worship.
We started a brand new church focused on the outsiders.
These are our prayer requests:
• Leader. Our executive team is doing a great job and is managing the church, but we need a leader to take the reins.
• Vision and wisdom for the executive team and for the elders as well. To do church as best as possible and to realize who’s best to be the leader.
• Funds and help for the new church-building in Vilanova. At present we are meeting in a small building but as soon as we start growing we are not going to have room enough for everybody. Plus, It’s not a good facility to develope confortable enviroments and programs. We have more than 50% of the new building done but we still need to raise $340.000 to finish it and fill it with all the facilities and equipment.
• “Grupo 5/14″ (5/14 Team) is our brand new service project ministry. We are going to start working together with the Red Cross and the City Hall helping handicapped people.
• “Conectados” (Conected) is how we call our small groups. We started a year ago and they are working awesome. Some new people are interested in joining one of them.
• Reaching outsiders. That’s why we started our church, because in Spain churches are more concerned in not loosing the insiders than in reaching the outsiders and designing atractive environments for them. We want to be the first step for those outsiders in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Reaching insiders. Since we want to be an atractive church for the outsiders we need a lot of hands helping us with the programs and the environments, and the fastest way to do that is reaching insiders who can get a commitment fastly.
• Our kids environment is called “Club Aventura”. They are working hard and doing an amazing job with the kids. Also, they’re having a big issue because of their tiny room. The kids almost don’t fit in their class and it’s not a good place to develope a great environment. That’s another reason why we need our new building to be finished as soon as possible.
If you guys want to know more about our church you can visit our website http://www.iglesiadelgarraf.com
Thanks for your prayers and support.
