THE NEW KIDSTUF IS COMING … OCTOBER 5TH!
From the beginning days of our church, we have held one belief that relates to our children’s ministries:
“What happens at home is more important than what happens at church.”
We aren’t just saying that. We believe it. A parent is a much better pastor for a child than we could ever be. It is for this reason that we feel that one of the best things we can do as a church is to “partner with parents” to give them the resources they need to live out a better ministry at home. What happens at home IS more important than what happens at church. That is why we created KidStuf . . . with the sole intention of giving parents and kids a shared experience that gives them a fun, clear view of God’s truths and lots to talk about when they go home.
We are more committed than ever to effectively partnering with parents by providing a shared experience AND practical tools that will help them lead their kids spiritually at home. That is why we are VERY excited about KidStuf’s new strategy that launches in October. Here is how it will work . . .
KidStuf Live will meet every first Sunday of the month! It will happen in the KidStuf Theater at Buckhead Church and is 45 minutes of fun, music, energy, laughs that will launch the monthly Big Idea that kids are learning about in UpStreet. Trust us when we say that you’ve never seen KidStuf like this! KidStuf Live starts on October 5 at 10:10 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. (right after the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. services).
At each KidStuf Live, you will be handed an exciting resource for your family called the “KidStuf Take-Out.” It is a creative application tool designed to assist parents as they apply the Big Idea in their homes all month long. If you miss a KidStuf Live and your KidStuf Take-Out, you can still grab a KidStuf Take-Out on the other Sundays of the month as you exit UpStreet!
To top it all off, there is www.kidstuf.com . . . our soon-to-be-released website that will prove to be a powerful, online shared experience for kids and parents! Starting October 5, this new website will be the place to find a ton of great stuff for kids, like games and music that correspond to the month’s Big Idea, fun challenges, and a chance to read Gordo’s blog. It will also have stuff that your family can do together, like kicking around our own KidStuf version of YouTube called FamFilms (or making and uploading your own videos), taking on a family challenge, or exploring lots of other super-fun activities! Most importantly, it will offer everything parents will need to help their families apply the Big Idea all month long.
Get ready, because October is going to be big as KidStuf Online and KidStuf Take-Out combine with KidStuf Live to motivate, equip, and inspire PARENTS to apply the Big Idea at home!

Liz,
Hey! This is Erinleigh, KidStuf Director. Really, the post covers it all as far as the “why.” We really believe that this new strategy will help us partner with parents in a greater way! And just so you know, KidStuf isn’t going monthly! The live production (KidStuf Live) will be happening on the first Sunday of every month… But with the KidStuf Take-Out and KidStuf Online (our weekly environment), KidStuf will be happening more often now than ever! :) Hope this helps. If you have any other questions, feel free to email me directly @ erinleigh.kinyanjui@buckheadchurch.org. Also, even though KidStuf Online hasn’t launched yet, if you go to http://www.kidstuf.com now, we have a bunch of FAQ’s that may help you understand the change better as well.
