Living It Out…On UpStreet
The UpStreet team would like to send out a BIG thank you to our production
volunteers, who have been putting on a super-sized version of UpStreet every
Sunday this summer.
Our Summer Craze program (for elementary kids) is called “The Tales of the
Bright and the Brainless,” and we’ve been learning about Jesus’ parables.
It’s been great to see the kids engage with God’s truth, and to learn how we
can take it in and live it out!
Every Sunday, the kids get to compete in some crazy games, sing really fun
worship songs, and hear a relevant Bible story… in addition to the time
they spend in small groups with their leaders and friends.
The production volunteers also got together last Sunday for a special
team-building event – TEAM UpStreet Idol. It was a chance to get to know
their volunteer teams for the new UpStreet year (starting in August).
Congratulations to the 11:00 Warehouse team, who won the competition with a
breathtaking version of “Unwritten”!

Mike Tiemann and the UpStreet staff make it easy for all of us to be successful, have fun and make a difference as volunteers! It’s easy to “live it out” each week after spending time on Sundays in an environment that has such great energy!! I learn as much from the UpStreet messages and bottom lines…as the kids! Take it in and live it out…!

UpStreet Production volunteers are AMAZING!!! Those of us on the Small Group side are so thankful for the way they set our leaders up to dive in to the lives of kids and make God’s Truth applicable to them. I’ll just give a little shout out to our incredible team on the Small Group side though – thank you for investing in the lives of our kids and families. I know a lot of you are in and out during the summer, but we can’t wait to see you back for the fall on August 10th!!

Ok, I’m a little behind on responding, and I’m not an Upstreet volunteer. However, as someone who 7 year old son benefits from Upstreet every week, whatever is done to build you up and express appreciation to you, I’m all for it.
To watch my son come home excited about sunday school (sorry, my Baptist upbringing : )
It makes me want to laugh and cry at the same time,
So, here’s to all of you, Thanks so much for the time and energy you spend helping my husband and I make sure Joseph is growing closer to Jesus!
